I am here

Lord, I am here,
With open heart and mind.
I cannot see what you can see,
Nor can I predict my journey,
I merely ask for your hand,
Your strength, light and love,
So that I can continue my life
With the graces that you bestow upon me.
That I will always know,
That you are with me,
Holding my hand,
That I follow in your footsteps
Or are in your arms.
No water can cure my thirst,
Words unable to sustain me,
Your peace is in my prayer.
Knowledge of your presence in my steps
Prepares me for the riches of this world
That no money or possessions can buy.
Lord, I am blessed
With your presence,
Earthly body and love.
I don't ask for gifts selfishly
But selflessly, to spread my wings,
My hands out-raised to the world,
And spread your word
Through actions which you ask of me.
This is all that I ask
And all that I am.
