It is in the generous give and take of friendship that we learn to serve others.

Jesus’ call for his friends to act as servants when spreading his message was a truly subversive message. But it was a call that Pope Francis embraced.

A long-hidden corridor in the centre of Rome has been opened to mark the Jubilee Year of the Catholic Church. Madonna magazine has visited Rome’s new attraction.

We are invited into a deeper friendship with God who calls us to love, serve and journey together.

Perhaps this Jubilee year we can celebrate our ordained members and their work by picking up some of their burden.

Leadership in the Church, government and organisations should emphasise stewardship, not power.
